Happy Halloween, everyone! Happy Samhain!
This year for Halloween, I was a goth, as usual. I went to class in a corset and fishnets and a long black skirt, and had very dark eye makeup and dark purple lipstick (my black lipstick was sadly destroyed in the great sewage flood earlier this year). Reactions from classmates included, "You look very nice, Angela," "Holy S***, Angela." Reactions from teachers were much wordier - Christine said, "You're very distracting today, Angela. I looked at you and thought, not asleep, but still dead looking," and also, from hearsay, Walter said, "I could not give her a crit, because I think I would have a heart attack." I don't think I'm that scary, am I? Anyhow, it was a wholly satisfying experience. Waz also mentioned to me that she and Cathy were considering an emo/goth themed party. I told her I would love to go.
O, and I found out they are reinstating the Beaux-Arts Ball this year, as this will be the CFA's centennial celebration. I can't wait to find out what this year's theme is. Perhaps I can drag Ben along in a doublet and hose...
