København

Hullo from Copenhagen. It's been a few days since I arrived so I'm all settled in. I've come to the conclusion that this city is amazing. The public transportation is great, the streets are so interesting, and every single photo I take makes me feel like I'm an amazing photographer.

Funny thing: In the pamphlet for dorms, they said that every person gets their own bathroom. When I inspected it the first time, I saw toilet and sink. Then I realized that the entire room was the shower. There'a a little curtain that conveniently shields the toilet half so the toilet paper doesn't get drenched. How thoughtful. The rest of the room is Ikea happiness. I've rearranged the conveniently lightweight furniture about twice now.

My floormates are ever so nice. Our dorm is organized so that each floor only has one DIS student, and everyone else is Danish. I have been spending time talking to Martin, Mørten and Trine. There's also a silent giant named Silas, as well as a guy named Joseph who disappeared after the first day. I think he's at a festival.

Class has mostly consisted of a history lecture blitz. We have one lecture in morning from 9-12. Then another one from 1-4. It's just to prepare us for what we're going to be seeing on our study tour in Stockholm and Finland. We had our first studio yesterday and my professor is, unfortunately, none other than the Danish version of Eric Fisher. Crap.

Other than that, I'm loving the city. O, and 7-Eleven's chocolate croissants.
